Our Dental Technologies

Dr. Schiffer with a patient looking at the her x-ray.At Gwinnett Dental Implant & Periodontal Center, we make use of the latest dental technologies to bring you the best dental care. These technologies help too, among other things, guarantee accurate diagnosis, offer fast and long-lasting treatment solution, minimize the invasiveness of our dental procedures, and several other benefits. Therefore, if you are looking for dental solutions, you can count on us to serve you to the best of our ability. Below are some of the dental technologies we employ in delivering dental care to you.

Digital Panoramic X-ray

Panoramic x-rays use a low level of ionization to capture the image of your mouth during a dental examination. It is a 2D imaging technique that produces an image of your mouth, jaws, teeth and other oral features. It helps us in identifying dental problems such as jaw disorders, growths, teeth alignment issues, and other dental problems.

Intraoral Camera

This is a pen-shaped device that we use to examine your mouth to the most accurate detail. The camera captures images in real time, and they are displayed on a monitor as we examine your oral cavity. The camera is an LED lighting and is designed in such a way that it rotates up to 90-degrees, thus allowing for an improved viewing experience. During the examination, the monitor is set up next to you, allowing you to see your oral cavity.

Laser Treatment

Laser treatment is a groundbreaking dental technology that improves the quality of dental care you receive. It can be used to perform a minimally invasive gum surgery, activate whitening agents during tooth whitening procedures, or removing lesions, cysts, and biopsy tissue.

Chromium Ion Laser for Soft Tissue and Bones

This is a minimally invasive oral surgery technique used during gum surgery or in treating cavities. Laser surgery is painless and lowers the rate of infection after surgery. It also helps to accelerate the healing period. On top of that, there is no need to use sutures, which requires you to make another appointment for them to be removed.
